One of the first questions an appraiser may ask you is, "Why do you need this appraisal"? This may seem like a invasive question to clients who are unfamiliar with appraisal practice, but it is in fact an indication that you may be speaking with a trained professional appraiser.
In most cases the cost of our appraisals is between $80 and $120. Typically, other appraisers in OKC charge between $100-$170 and up with all their add-on fees. For simple articles the cost is less, while more elaborate articles will cost more.
Prices will be quoted at the time your items are presented. If you have a large collection or an estate, we can accommodate you!
If you have many pieces and would like for them to be sorted to discuss which pieces are perhaps costume or which are more valuable, just ask, we offer this service free regardless if the jewelry is left for appraisal or you have the appraisals done while you wait. If more than 30 minutes is spent sorting and you do not have items appraised, then a fee of $50 per half hour is charged.
Our appraisals are in writing, highly detailed and include color pictures.
An independent jewelry appraiser acts as an unbiased third party. They are not employed by a particular jewelry store. Although it is perfectly OK for a jeweler to recommend the appraiser.
Yes! Appointments ensure that each client will receive individual and prompt service. To schedule an appointment please call our office 405-885-8501.
Often clients do not need to leave their jewelry. In fact, clients are encouraged to stay and observe the appraisal process. Please allow approximately two hours per item. You must advise the appraiser that you are wanting to wait when scheduling your appointment so that time can be adequately managed for all clients. if you have more than three items, you will need to leave them, however.
Appraisal documents may sometimes be completed by the end of each appointment but usually they will be mailed to you. Of course, clients are able to make arrangements to leave their jewelry and return after the appraisal is completed to retrieve both. If you do want to stay and wait, please be sure and mention it when you make your appointme
Yes. In order to give you the most accurate appraisal possible, please bring any documentation you have pertaining to the property to be appraised.

Old insurance summaries listing the property
Old appraisals (helpful if previous appraiser took stone measurements, or examined stones before they were mounted).

Most insurance companies recommend that you have your jewelry appraisal reports updated every two to five years. Some will let you wait up to ten years. Please keep in mind you will need to have items with large gemstones -- especially diamonds -- updated more often than an item with no gemstones at all. It is best to check with your individual insurance company with any questions about renewing your appraisal report.
